All of our vegetarian vitamin D3 oils contain a high-quality premium vitamin D3 as the active ingredient, which has been specially produced for us without any hidden additives - only with MCT oil from coconut and natural vitamin E. The active ingredient is characterised by its purity and guaranteed vitamin D3 content. D3 active ingredients very often contain a whole range of additives, some of which do not have to be declared, such as synthetic vitamin E, ascorbyl palmitate, silicon dioxide, modified starch, sucrose, denatured vegetable oils and maltodextrin. Our vitamin D3 is particularly pure and free from the usual hidden additives due to the elaborate special production according to our specifications.

Our original K2VITAL® vitamin K2 is one of the few active ingredients on the market that can guarantee a content of at least 99.7% of the highly effective all-trans MK-7 for the stated vitamin K2 content. This consistently high level of purity is ensured by a special laboratory test developed in Norway.

MCT CARRIER OIL FOR OPTIMAL PROTECTION AND BETTER ABSORPTION

Vitamin K2 is a fat-soluble vitamin and can only be absorbed by the body together with fats. For our K2 drops, we have selected a particularly high-quality MCT oil produced in the Netherlands based on coconut oil as the carrier oil. In contrast to other carrier oils such as olive oil or tablet press agents such as calcium carbonate, MCT oil hardly breaks down the fat-soluble vitamins, making it the best option for optimum active ingredient protection, whereby the medium-chain fatty acids of the carrier oil themselves also represent a valuable nutrient. The manufacturer of our coconut MCT oil can confirm that no monkeys are used to harvest the coconuts.

While capsules and tablets first have to dissolve in the body to release the active ingredient, vitamin K2 from oil is immediately bioavailable in the mouth and can therefore be optimally absorbed. Oils are also particularly convenient to use and are also suitable for people who have difficulty swallowing capsules or tablets. All our oils come with high-quality glass pipettes, which make it particularly easy to dispense the exact amount in drops. In contrast to dropper bottles, which are often difficult to handle and tend to smudge, glass pipettes are convenient and clean to use.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D plays a very important role. It is one of the few vitamins that is not absorbed directly from food, but rather produced by skin cells from sunlight. It is not a vitamin in the traditional sense of the word, but rather a pro-hormone.

In contrast to many other vitamins, vitamin D is converted into an important hormone which regulates cell functioning and bodily processes. Almost all bodily cells have special receptors for the vitamin D hormone that are dependent on sufficient supply.

Vitamin K2

Vitamin K2 is one of the most important cofactors of vitamin D. Vitamin K2 activates a series of transport proteins that ensure the specific utilisation of calcium. Together, the two vitamins control bone-building and breaking down cells.

Vitamin D is still the subject of intensive research. New mechanisms of action of this fascinating vitamin are discovered almost every year. To date, the following statements on vitamin D have been approved by the EU (EFSA):

Daily Requirements

Vitamin D

The National Health Service (NHS) recommends a daily intake of 10μg of vitamin D for those 1 year of age and older, inclusive of those pregnant, breastfeeding and at risk of vitamin D deficiency. The NHS recommends a daily intake of 8.5-10μg of vitamin D for babies up to the age of 1 year. However, it is important to note that individual vitamin D needs may vary according to geographic location (sun exposure), dietary habits, genetics and other factors.

Vitamin K2

The National Health Service (NHS) does not currently have any published recommendations regarding daily intake of vitamin K.

Food Supplement

Do not exceed the recommended dose. Food supplements cannot replace a balanced and varied diet. Note: Not suitable for children under 7 years. Keep out of reach of children.
