The yeast strain Saccharomyces boulardii SP92 is a particularly active form of this high-performance yeast: the viable yeast cells are activated very quickly after intake, meaning they take effect quickly. Our ultra pure vegan capsules made from plant-based, PEG- and carrageenan-free cellulose, contain only the active ingredient (S. boulardii), and prebiotic acacia fibre from sustainable cultivation, which is used as a fibre-rich filler.
Although this yeast can be extracted from the rinds of lychees and mangosteens, the extraction process is laborious and resource intensive. Nowadays, the yeast is cultivated instead. Despite the fact that many products on the market use GMO yeasts, we rely exclusively on 100% natural, non-GMO yeast. The yeast strain we use is free from foreign microorganisms such as Listeria and Staphylococcus, and is highly pure with only minimal, barely measurable traces of heavy metals. The final product is vegan and completely free from genetic engineering and allergens. Saccharomyces boulardii has high tolerability and is resistant to digestive acid, which ensures a secure passage through the stomach.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC capsules that can be found on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We do not use gelatine or pullulan and completely avoid the use of release agents such as magnesium stearate, which is often used in the production of capsule and food supplement powders. We use environmentally friendly amber glass jars for the packaging of this product.
