Pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) is vitamin-like substance discovered in 2003 that naturally occurs in small quantities in green peppers, tofu, kiwi, and green tea. Due to the "newness" of this substance, PQQ requires Novel Food authorisation from the EU for admission as an ingredient in food supplements.
For our products we exclusively use the premium PQQ active ingredient MGCPQQ® that is obtained from a patented manufacturing process. This ingredient has a purity of over 99%+ and is non-GMO and is free from allergens and nanoparticles. MGCPQQ®is the only PQQ with EU Novel Food authorisation on the German market.
The only other ingredient in this product is premium, natural gum arabic cultivated without pesticides. In contrast to generic, synthetic fillers containing nanoparticles, we use a natural and fibre-rich filler. The soluble gum arabic is very easily digested and can serve as a food source for bifido and lactobacteria in the intestines. Our gum arabic is sustainably sourced, climate-neutral, and from fair farming.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We do not use gelatine or pullulan and completely avoid the use of release agents such as magnesium stearate, which is often used in the production of capsule and food supplement powders. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
